❤️ This is Part 2! I kept getting this concept and "message" everywhere I was turning! I was re-reading C.S. Lewis' book "Mere Christianity" and he spoke so clearly about our having an eternal purpose for being here on this earth. Most people are locked in to their temporary lives here and chasing after all that they think that they can get here, or all they can "be" in the world's eyes, but we are truly citizens of heaven! We have an eternal, anointed reason for being here. The word for anointed is "Christ" (in Greek, as in Jesus, the anointed one: Christ.) In Revelations 1:5-6 it says we are kings and priests, a royal priesthood. (I encourage you to read and study this yourself for sure!) "Unto him [Jesus Christ] that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen." Consider how differently you would live your life here if you sat and contemplated what it means to live for forever. Jesus said so clearly, "What does it profit a person if he or she gains the WHOLE WORLD yet loses his or her soul?" What have you gained? In the ancient days they would anoint the head of a king, a queen or a priest. This is an outward symbol of God choosing someone to be in this position, often it is a symbol of the Holy Spirit being imparted to this person (in the case of King David, for example.) In the biblical understanding, a "king" is one who is a good, sovereign ruler, who rules well. Inwardly and psychologically, this is a ruling of your passions. God, the Holy Spirit working in us, can help us direct our passions towards becoming true virtues. This is instead of your passions ruling you (ie., this is what addictions and neuroticism is.) A priest is one who brings God to the people and the people to God. Well, inwardly, part of our "job" is to bring ourselves before the presence of God and bring God to this part of ourselves which previously has been "lost" in personality, alseep! How are we going to CHANGE this world? We start by waking up to our highest calling, God has called us to have an intimate relationship with Him. To be saved by the blood of Christ and transformed, with our nous/minds being renewed by the Holy Spirit! We are meant to understand our roles! I do my best to make this fun and creative because God has allowed me to "see" these truths in every day songs! Look at THE VERSE that we read (in a prayer meeting I "happened" to be at a few days AFTER I recorded this!) Beloved, I am writing you no new commandment but an old commandment that you have had from the beginning; the old commandment is the word that you have heard. 1 John 2:7 (NRSV) "the Word that you HEARD" is one of the exact lines from the Grease song! 💕💕 Look at more of the verses in this same chapter! ) I cannot make this stuff up!) "15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. The love of the Father is not in those who love the world, for all that is in the world—the desire of the flesh, the desire of the eyes, the pride in riches—comes not from the Father but from the world. And the world and its desire are passing away, but those who do the will of God abide forever. Children, it is the last hour! As you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. From this we know that it is the last hour. ...But you have been anointed by the Holy One, and all of you have knowledge. I write to you, not because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and you know that no lie comes from the truth. Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? Only the beginning...(Part 2) In the Beginning, God created (Genesis 1) 💕 ...God is an artist and you are a masterpiece of His creation! C.S. Lewis says that sometimes we wish we were just a quick sketch, but you are SO much more than that! God wants tp purify you, teach you, complete you to the fullness of what you were created to be. Why would we stop at the caterpillar stage if we are meant to be butterflies? This song says for us: Only the beginning, only just the start... The song I am referencing for this teaching is called "Beginnings" and it was written by Robert Lamm, one of the original founders of the band Chicago. (This was on their debut album! I just read that! ) This video is about developing and cultivating your wisdom, insight, and spiritual connection with God, who created us, who loves us, and wants closeness with us. (All of the Mystics, Christian Saint and others, describe this as a kind of union, mystic union, back to God, the bridegroom of our Soul, through Christ our Bridegroom.) God is Love so all songs about Love are actually expressing the Love of God, whether the writers know or not. JRR Tolkien and CS Lewis describe Christ as the Myth that became REAL... It is like if Shakespeare wrote himself into one of his own plays, and got on the stage and acted in it! Just because it is "difficult" or impossible for our minds to grasp the whole of it, does not mean it is unknowable. You can know things that are true and your brain dows not understand how you know these things. This video is inspired by the song I learned when I was in elementary school, the "rainbow connection", it was in the muppet movie. About half way through this video I say that if I find a saint that had a vision of the rainbow, I will put it here! Well I found one, even before I had a chance to post this video! Saint John, the Beloved of Christ, whom I love so much! He wrote the book of Revelations and saw this: After these things I looked, and behold, a door opened in heaven . . . and a rainbow was around the throne (Revelation 4:1,3). And: Then I saw another strong angel coming down out of heaven, clothed with a cloud, and with a rainbow on his head (Revelation 10:1). and here is the original promise 🌈🌦️: And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying, And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you; And with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth. Psalm 16:11 Thou wilt shew me the *path* of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. ("Pleasures" in Hebrew = like sweet songs (!) for evermore!) God gave me the verse! 💖 ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 (It is hard to put into words what "God gave me the verse" means, but I know that I know that He did, for us, God gave us that verse!) The word "workmanship in Greek is poema, POEM! God is a master crafts-man and He is the Almighty Most High Artist, in the "sky," the heavens... Our Father who ART in heaven :) We are each poems of God, songs! SO of course He can speak to us through songs! He can speak to us through any part of His creation! See Psalm 139, "even if I go to the depths of Sheol you are there..." "if I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there." Psalm 139:8 ... I do not recommend making your bed in hell, whatever all that phrase means... but God calls us to get back on to the "King's Highway" His perfect path, His way, His road again! Of course we will set our eyes onto Jesus and we will keep insisting that the world (though not forcing it upon them) that they turn back, and "keep turning our way" to the true path, our Way, God's holy calling for each of our souls! Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. "I am the Way, the truth and the Life!" (John 14:6) Revelations 1:6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. Lewis wrote: "Every Christian is to become a little Christ. The whole purpose of becoming a Christian is simply nothing else.” ~ CS Lewis, Mere Christianity The way I was seeing this song was to see it as one who is like the prodigal's son or prodigal's daughter. He finally comes to his senses and is ready to leave his life of addiction to go back to be aligned with his Father. (The path of True Love). So we see in the first lines of the song: "girl I'm leaving you tomorrow..." When we live the life of short cuts, for our flesh and momentary gain, it is called "a deception" for a reason! We truly do think the illusion will satisfy us, until it begins to fall apart ad reveal itself as empty once again. St. Paul says whenever we sin, we become slaves to that sin. But in Christ we can be FREE. You are worth highest love. Jesus died on a Friday and resurrected on a Sunday. That forgiveness and resurrection is offered to us all. I heard a Bishop once say, the only way to get to the resurrection is through the way of the cross. The "cross" is not pleasant to us. It looks impossible to leave the illusion. Jesus said regarding the "rich" man, (a person "rich in their own personality-self importance"or lost in identification with "riches" of this world) ...for man this is impossible, but not for God, for God nothing is impossible! Each of us can be "easy like a Sunday morning." Each of us has the possibility of leaving the illusion to become our true selves. Little Christs on this earth, shining like it says in Daniel 12:3 "and they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever." You have this incredible ability, put inside you, by the Creator - to become a new "man"! The way C.S. Lewis describes it, is that it is like if one of your toy soldiers turned into a real person! Or if you were a regular horse and you could turn into a flying horse! (Lewis had one do this in one of his Narnia books). Lewis was describing how, if you first saw a fledgling horse growing the new wings, you might think the horse awkward looking and even reject it as deformed, but really, the horse was going in the direction that God intended it to go in! So we are meant to BECOME something so so so beautiful! But Jesus said the seed must go into the ground first. The outer shell must come off and be left in the ground so that the tree can grow. What are all the passages of scripture about (?): pick up your cross and follow me... you must be born (again) of the spirit... (John, chapter 3) you must become like a little child to enter into the kingdom... if you do not forgive, neither will you be forgiven... for you have died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God...(Colossians 3:3) I have been crucified with Christ and it is no longer I who live but Christ lives in me... (Galatians 2:20) When I was receiving this song in my heart, it was coming to me like: Stand by Christ, always, he is the Man, the bridegroom, mystically, of the church. The shepherd, King. He defeated death for us, so that we could have LIFE. This life in Christ, turns us into a new "man" (or woman). Stay faithful and trusting of God on this path, even when you do not understand. An idol is anything you are placing in a higher order than God. So many of us are addicted to our own minds and to thinking! There is nothing wrong with thinking, but I like what Eckhart Tolle asks: can you stop thinking? If you cannot, then isn’t it like another addiction. One where we think we can stop indulging in it, but when we try, look how difficult it gets! Observe how much you rely on thinking to “fix” everything. Most inventors and scientists say their greatest ideas happened when they were not thinking about anything. Let’s explore what that is here! This is such a simple but PROFOUND truth for your life...It seems like I had to spend my whole life of training as a psychologist and through the dark night of the soul, just to arrive at these deep truths -- and of course I want to share them here with you so that YOUR life can be free.
